About Us
Landmarks Preservation Society of Southeast, Inc. is an incorporated not-for-profit 501(c)(3) membership corporation. We're based in Brewster, New York, where we restore, maintain, and preserve the properties under our ownership, which include, Walter Brewster House, Old Southeast Church, and the Doansburg Schoolhouse. The 1794 Old Southeast Church on Route 22 is used as an ecumenical center and is open to visitors upon request. The church property is also home to the Doansburg Schoolhouse. The Walter Brewster House was built in 1850 in the Greek revival style and was the residence of the founder of Brewster Village. Today it is our headquarters from where we plan and organize a variety of services and activities. Some of our properties are available to rent for weddings or other special events. We invite you to learn more about us and consider supporting our worthwhile restoration and preservation activities.
